The Vox Pop series is the sister series to the People’s Panel and helps us to explore the social attitudes of local people, and to explore our People’s Panel findings in more depth, informing Hull City Council and its partners when they are making decisions that affect you.

Is Hull A Music City?
Hull is looking to apply to become a UNESCO Creative City of Music City. We also want to develop a Hull Music exhibition in 2028 to present Hull’s musical past and present.
Help us shape our application and tell us how you feel about music and Hull’s music scene and what memories you may have.

Help Shape Future Bus Stop Improvements
As part of Hull City Council’s Local Authority Bus Grant programme, the Council is using funding to improve bus stop facilities throughout the city. This includes installing up to 200 live bus information displays, which show real-time bus arrival information and service updates, and up to 60 new bus shelters with environmentally friendly green roofs.
The Council is carrying out this research to understand where people think these improvements would have the greatest benefit.

Community High Streets Phase 3
Hull City Council have allocated £6m to spend on community high street improvements with a phased programme of work.
Over the course of the project, improvements will be made to a total of 16 neighbourhoods and local centres spread across the city.
The Council’s Community Highstreets Project Team would like to understand the real issues that affect high street users and the community at large. We want to hear your views on each of the areas chosen for investment and what residents, business owners and people who work in those areas feel they need to make them a better place to live, work, play and shop. Your opinion matters to us.

Hull Local Plan
Have your say and be entered into a prize draw to win £100, £50 or £25 in high street shopping vouchers.
The Hull Local Plan sets out the long‑term vision for how the city will grow and change. It provides the council’s strategy for meeting development needs, including homes, jobs, infrastructure and environmental protection, and guides planning decisions through policies and site allocations. Shaped by community and stakeholder input, the Plan seeks to deliver sustainable growth while protecting local character and ensuring development is supported by essential services and infrastructure.
We have already had valuable early conversations with communities across Hull about the city’s future. The feedback received so far remains an important part of the evidence informing the new Local Plan. However, changes to the national planning system now provide an opportunity to refresh that conversation, and test whether priorities remain the same and gather new ideas.
